synopsis

lifelong learning is a us based non-profit that commissioned this educational video on mindfulness to support teachers who work with children with ACEs (adverse childhood experiences).

the video uses a busy cafe to draw a parallel with a person’s busy mind. its main character, frida, struggles with multitasking and dealing with stress because other thoughts and future plans/tasks constantly distract her.

process/concept

this has been one of the lucky projects where i got absolute creative freedom on the visual aspects. at this point, i was itching to create a very vibrant bold colour palette, and so i did. since the idea of mindfulness is getting more widely known, i tried my best to keep the visuals fresh in order to keep the viewers engaged and, hopefully, help further understand mindfulness through the shown examples, or at least make the viewer smile at the anxiety monsters (yesterday, tomorrow, shoulda-coulda-woulda) on
the basketball court.
